Ceramic Rings
Ceramic wedding rings have hit the market as an alternate to traditional metal rings. When you think of ceramic, you might think of pottery, plates, cups and dishes. However, ceramic wedding bands are not the same as these very breakable objects. In fact, one of the main reasons to purchase a ceramic wedding ring is because of its strength.
A ceramic wedding band is often compared to, and sometimes mistaken for tungsten wedding rings because of their strength and scratch resistance. Even though these wedding bands are almost indestructible, they are not easily removable in an emergency and they cannot be removed with standard ring cutters.
Still, ceramic wedding rings have a number of very positive attributes that you certainly should consider. For example, they typically come in a black powder coat finish and sometimes have inlays of gold, diamonds, carbon fiber, rubber, wood and other materials. They are very masculine rings that can stand up to the abuse that just about any man who works with his hands can inflict.
One of the most positive attributes of these rings is that they are hypoallergenic. Just like stainless steel wedding rings, titanium wedding rings,
palladium wedding rings and platinum wedding rings, if your skin reacts to some jewelry, you can safely wear these wedding bands at all times and not be concerned about any allergic reaction.
