Michelle Rodriguez – Always a Bride…

Michelle Rodrigues may be on the silver screen in the latest installment of the Fast & Furious movie franchise, but junkets and movie theaters across the globe are not the only places the famous Latina have been spotted at lately. She recently applied the brakes long enough to slow down and take a more elegant role as a bridesmaid in Mexican film star Celenas Toribio’s wedding!

The two met while co-starring in the Spanish language drama film Tropico de Sangre. Other famous Latina celebrity bridesmaids included Despierta America reporter Birmania Rios, Noticiero Telemundo correspondent Isolda Peguero, as well as a host of the bride’s close childhood friends.  The ceremony was simple and elegant according to the guests in attendance. The bridesmaids all wore matching light violet gowns with a deep royal purple accenting sash. Walking in before the bride, they all looked lovely as they stood beside the alter at the Iglesia San Estalisnao de Altos de Chavon in Casa de Campo, a famous Spanish missionary church in the Dominican Republic, which also happens to be the former Lost star’s nation of birth.

As reported by People en Español, approximately 250 friends and relatives were in attendance, including reggae superstar Tego Calderon. All who attended were blown over by the bride who walked down the aisle in a stunning Swarovski Lucia Rodriguez gown which had been accented with small crystals and fine French lace.

During the ceremony, Toribio was presented by her groom a custom designed platinum wedding ring made by the famous Brazilian designer Roberto Gantaz. Consisting of a simple band which had been inscribed with an undisclosed prayer on the inner portion of the ring and engraved with interwoven spirals along the outer surface, it made a fine compliment to the four carat diamond engagement ring which again had been designed by Senor Gantaz back in early 2008.

The newlyweds and their friends, family and loved ones then assembled at the Punta Aguilla Resort for the reception, where the bride and groom enjoyed a roaring Dominican style start to their lives together as they fed slices of a giant wedding cake to one another and danced the night away.

Thankfully, no reports have surfaced regarding Ms. Rodriguez having had any incidents involving the police while she was in attendance!
