Stainless steel wedding rings provide perfect wedding cheer
When it comes to choosing the perfect wedding ring for the day you tie the knot with your partner stainless steel is rapidly becoming the wedding ring metal of choice. A recent survey carried out by the University of Queensland amongst online couples who were planning to tie the knot threw up some surprising facts.

Stainless Steel wedding rings come in a wide variety of modern, exciting, wedding ring designs
More than a third of them, apparently were looking for wedding rings made of metal other than the traditional gold. Six out of ten believed that the global financial crisis was a welcome return to traditional values of thrift and value for money and an opportunity to focus more on the symbolism of the wedding day than to make it a hugely expensive events. Of those who would look for an alternative wedding ring 80% said they would easily consider stainless steel ring sets as an alternative to traditional gold or platinum wedding rings because stainless steel has a look which closely matches their aspirations.
Just a decade or so ago that statement would have sounded strange. We live, now, in an age when technology has advanced to the point that stainless steel is more than just the heavy metal De Loreans used to be made out of.
Wedding rings which are made of stainless steel are durable, lighter and created for a comfort fit for every day wear. Because stainless steel is a non-reactive metal they are great for practically any environment so you could wear yours and surf or swim in a chlorinated swimming pool without adversely affecting your wedding ring.
Stainless steel wedding rings come in highly polished finishes which mirror the effect of platinum rings and white gold wedding rings without, however, mirroring the cost and they also come in a matt finish which allows for inlay of another precious metal for a truly unique combination of traditional past with visionary future.
Because stainless steel is a metal which, traditionally, has been associated with a thoroughly masculine feel stainless steel wedding ring sets are not that common. That, however, is mostly because women, traditionally, have been restricted to designs created in precious metals. Stainless steel wedding rings have, in recent times, succeeded in overturning the assumption that style and a metal associated with ruggedness, cannot go well together. Stainless steel wedding rings designs have included some of the most refined styles which helps to explain their modern day popularity with couples tying the knot.
